Classical Cat - Stop Unwanted Anchor Locker Destruction

This tip submitted by Gary Norgan

Here is a very simple fix for preventing the bar ends of the anchor from damaging the inside of the anchor locker. It isn't much but I believe in the saying, "Keep it simple, stupid". I drilled a half inch hole in a used tennis ball and stuck it over the ends of the side bars of my anchor. This also prevents it from banging around in there and making noise. I have also placed a section of that rubberized matting you can buy at West Marine in the bottom to keep the rode and chain off the bottom, helping it to drain and dry out after use of the anchor. You just have to cut the grid to fit the bottom. Simple and easy to do.
