had a great sail this morning, pulled up into a cove and snorkled to clean the bottom and came back before the afternoon thunderstorms came through...

It appears the guzzler rubber had finally parted. Meant to get that rebuilt years ago.

I can't remember... anybody know which guzzler this is???

thank you

Gotta call Catalina Direct and get that order in..

Also time to refinish the tiller....

Wow Ray,Haven't heard from ya in a long time. I hope everything is ok with you. Yep, 5 screws is a gussler 500.

Hey Ray. I'm hoping to get down to Lanier next month for the C22 Gone With The Wind regatta at LLSC. If i have a chance to look around, maybe I'll see you out on the water.

<< Yep.. five screws is a guzzler 500 >>

well not really.. I guess what you meant to say is:

Four screws holding together the flapper valves on each side of the main pump means it is a Guzzler 400

Six screws on the flappers valves on each side of the main pump means it is a Guzzler 500

The pump pictured above has 4 screws on the flapper valves on each side of the main pump so it is a Guzzler 400...

West Marine had them in stock so the Guzzler 500 rebuild kit came in last week and I'm looking forward to the Guzzler 400 kit this week.

Maybe...... I'll finish up that electric bilge pump project sometime this year :)

4 screws on the side flapper valves = Guzzler 400

so... the kit came and I rebuilt the pump and found the part I thought was cracked was a covering over the front of the pump that is now still cracked but the actual pump rubber was still good. changed out the flaps and the main pump rubber and installed. Removed the old garden hose to the bilge and added new bilge line.

Good Times.....
