If you look at this website, you can ID your engine’s vintage. https://www.boats.net/catalog/honda/outboard/9-9hp The BABJ + serial number will give you the year. I can’t read the number from your photo. It could be BABJ-1100912 or BABJ-1300912
Ken, good luck selling your engine. Earlier this year when I attempted to sell mine, I got several tire kickers buy no buyers. If you do sell yours, ask them if they need a spare. LOL
Its been years, but I sold an outboard in 2006. It was a new (never used) 2001 Honda. I looked on Craigslist at the typical pricing and offered at just below the average. It did sell quickly and at full price.
