Update:

sailboats/ CATALINA 25 - $800 (Port Saint Lucie, FL)

Seller is now listing the Catalina 25 fin keel separately for $800, without a trailer or engine.  Ad says boat will be junked if not sold soon, which may indicate situation is approaching "free, just get it out of here."

Original post:

From Craig's List, Port Saint Lucie in southeast Florida, August 8, 2021:
Catalina 25 & 27, $2,000 for both
These are fin keel sailboats on trailers, and the seller wants to keep the trailers, so would have to be launched with a crane or travel lift nearby, and dealt with in the water from there.  (Assuming they float.)

Seller: (772)249-4349 cell w/text.

As I said in my original post, I'm 100 miles away, don't know the seller, and haven't seen the boat.  Just passing along an interesting offer.

Interesting as the 27 was last registered in Wisconsin and the 25 in Georgia -- both look like they have been sitting around for a long, long time.

I might be looking for a new boat depending on how things go with the hurricane….

The "hurricane" ended up being a quiet rain in your neighborhood. So I guess you're stuck with my old girl maybe till the next one.

And long may she wave. Passage has been, and continues to be, an amazingly seaworthy craft. I always feel safe and secure in almost any conditions.

While I can’t take all the credit, Passage never goes unnoticed wherever she goes and is widely admired as a well-found sailboat.
