I have a 1983 Catalina 25 with a pop-top, and a Pop-top cover. The boat is new to me. The Cover was stored inside the Boat for 9 years on the Hard. The Pop-top covers a white vinyl Material with clear plastic side ports. It will require a minor investment in professional canvas repair in order to be used. I attempted to install it on my open pop-top and It had shrunk a great amount and it is nowhere near being able to stretch it enough to fit the snaps. Is there a way to stretch it out enough to snap in place and then let the stretch take a set? I tried it on days with the Temperatures in the Low 80'sF. I am sure some of you have encountered this problem, and I am hoping to hear about your clever solution, as Brut Forse is not working for me.
Can you install new male snap ends for the old cover to fit onto? ... or simply move the old ones and repair the holes in the gel-coat? 'Seems to me that might be better than risking tearing the pop-top cover while trying to stretch it.
'Just a thought ... good luck!

Extend a Snap are one length. If you need more, or longer ones use a strip of sunbrella and make your own. I tried the ones shown in picture and they are made with a soft leather and in my experience the snap rip out of the leather.
