Hey Tom! My boat has the newer windows without the frames. I believe they are lexan/plexiglass. They have a few small screws but primarily attached with adhesive.
Hi Ben, what a great story, or actually four stories. Your discovery of a great old boat. Who knew that the lake level would create an opportunity for you to pick up a boat so easily? The bottom painting job is another common story. How many of us have found a bottom that looked more like the surface of the moon rather than a smooth bottom? Rotten wood and replacing it. Both the bulkhead and the brightwork. Finding alternatives to using expensive materials or rare species. Having the luxury to make a mistake. Nice. Then there’s the topsides story. Removing the deck hardware and rigging, Oh! Glorious sanding! Then repainting the flat areas and recoating the non skid areas. These are all really great stories on their own.
