Here is a "Quick Tip" for holding the lazarette lid open. Can't take credit for it the P.O. glued the blocks inside the lids with 1/8th inch bungee and plastic hooks. No more "bonked" noggins. Yes photo was taken towards the end of the season and she was looking a little dirty.
I did that for the anchor locker lid. I push the jib to the port side and secure the jib behind the lid and out of the way while anchoring. The little rope then keeps the lid open and the jib from blowing around.
Thanks for the inspiration to do the same with the aft locker.
