Even with weeks of rainy days in February I did make some progress...
Added a Boomkicker.
The Cabrillo Dry Storage yard launches sailboats with a crane and as such they require that you loose your backstay and topping lift - so I added the kicker to keep the boom up.
Looks like it will need to be higher on the mast to clear the vang attachment point.
First time I've something like this... liking it right now.
Are you planning to remove your topping lif? The plastic cleat that Catalina mounted on the boom is split on mine, so I just put a stopper knot in the line to hold it in place. Haven't gotten around to replacing the cleat yet, but it's on the list.

Planning to keep the topping lift line in place and use it to hoist a canopy.
Not familar yet with the boom rigging.
I really need to get down to the boat more often to finish recovery chores and get this beauty sailing.
