I can't help out, of course... But I'd like to suggest a short piece (or pieces from current or past officers) on what's involved for the various positions--their responsibilities, how much time is spent, how and when meetings are conducted, how rewarding it is, etc. Some folks might be under the impression that they don't have the time, when the actual time required might not be what they imagine. I know there are official "duties" in the Bylaws, but that doesn't explain the actual "life of an officer". Most of it is invisible to the rest of us.
Of course, if you already have recruited enough candidates who will appear here shortly, maybe a "pitch" isn't needed...

I have reviewed the Vice Commodore responsibilities in section IV C of the Bylaws and Constitution.
I would like to serve as the Vice Commodore and therefore place my name in nomination.
I have sent you an email with my work and maritime experiences listed for the position.
