I have installed the turning ball replacement system and rearranged the pulley system on my 2001 C250wb-works great. Four questions--1. How tall should the pvc pipe be? 2. how is the pvc held in place? 3. leakage concern at the reduced length rubber hose an the reduced pvc connection? 4.Could I reduce the pvc to go inside the hose? Help!!!
If the system on the 250 is like the 25, the PVC pipe is there to protect the rubber hose. The rubber hose is there to raise the thru-hull opening to be above the waterline. Not a good idea to reduce the hose length, and the PVC pipe should be as tall or slightly taller than the hose once installed. Why can't you reuse the original PVC pipe?
