Planning, adaptability to whatever presents itself and more planning. Sounds like a great adventure. Check the archives for input from Henk & Johanna from BC (Username Zeil) -- they've done a terrific job of documenting their various sailing preparations and cruising adventures across the US and Canada in their C250. Keep us posted as your planning progresses, e.g., regarding crew (experience/training), preparations, resource expectations (power, provisions), routing, storage ideas, etc. In our local explorations we find reasonably short days interspersed with on-shore explorations, good anchorages and warm cockpit showers make for a far more pleasant journey than long marathon runs.
