what type thru hull do I use?

I am adding an A/C unit to my 2012 250 WB MKII. I will need to install a thru hull intake below the waterline for the A/C in the bilge compartment. I plan to use a bronze but what type and size? I was thinking a 3/4 inch with the scoop. It has 4 screws that may help stability and rigidity.

Any thoughts?

Life caulk or 5200?
