new to the forum. I am motivated to join the ranks of Capri 25 Owners.
Looking for sound boat but Not afraid of cosmetics/fixer upper for right price.
The closer to Jacksonville, Fl the better, but realize I will probably need to road trip and based on feedback it seems the Capri 25 is worth it. Would appreciate any direction or help in my search. If I cannot find a reasonable 25, I have also considered Merit 25's, San Juan 7.7's ...etc. Anyone else have suggestions on comparable good value racer/racer-cruiser. FYI: The Capri 25 at the bottom of the forum in Annapolis looks great. Just a hike and a half from FL.

There is one in Charleston SC if you want a road trip.....very reasonable, on craigslist

I appreciate the heads up. I will double check but I think that is one that just sold.
Missed it by a couple of days. Needed a trailer and outboard if same one. The price was good... So no issues. Will check. Easy road trip.
Now I know . Have to jump on them even 4 hrs away.

use adhuntr.com to search, in about 1 month they should start to appear again. Best time to buy is end of August. Boats drop off the market in Nov, sometimes don't show up again until July.

When you are looking, look for depression at the compression post.
Look for rotted compression post, or bulkheads
Look for severe crazing at the cabintop to Hull (usually indicates flexing for the hull).
Check for rudder wobble, verify its not the tiller, but rather the rudder itself.
