I'm ordering the parts to change from wire/rope halyards to all rope but forgot to take a look at the masthead sheaves before the boat went to storage. Could anyone verify if the sheaves in the link below are correct for a 76 C25 with external halyards?
With external halyards, you will need to order 4. Length of halyards: Main - mast length x 2 (plus 10 ft. if running halyards to cockpit) Std rig mast is 28 ft. long, tall rig mast 30 ft. long. Jib/genoa - mast length plus forestay length (plus 10 ft. if to cockpit) As a general rule, I would use the tall fig dimensions of 30 ft mast and 31 ft forestay regardless of the rig you have. Can't go wrong that way. Line should be 5/16" dia., good quality, very low stretch. I like Marlow Spectra.

As in "no larger than 5/16. I use 1/4 Vectran 100 for the main, and 5/16 for the genoa. The recommendation for 5/16 on the genoa was overkill. I used V-100 only because it was really discounted when I was in the market. The high mod polyester lines have various drawbacks that vary by chemical and molecular structure, but any of them will serve well if you address their issues.
