On my boat I added a roller for the cable just to clear the fiberglass edge where the cable turns up thru the pipe that is in the first step of the companionway. I did that to spare the wear on the fiberglass, but the roller has collapsed on me twice because there is not a flat surface to secure the roller and difficult working in such a narrow space. There was nothing there before I got the boat so I don't know if I am over concerned with the possibility of the cable cutting in on the fiberglass. If someone is knowledgeable about this situation please advise. Thank you Spiro
