now that the rigging is off the boat any recommendations on as to where to get it replaced. I live about 2 hours from catalina diret which makes it easy but I hate to pay more than I have to.
Are you planning to replace the entire set? 8 steel-wire cables, all turnbuckles, all T-bolts and pins? I agree, that will be pricey. I assume you already have a Catalina Direct quote? Good thing about CD is they know the exact specs, lengths and what works on a C-25. Another fabricator will ask you a zillion questions, can potentially get the wrong sizes and supply incorrect materials (various grades of stainless steel). Since Passage came with new rigging courtesy of Dave "Stinkpotter" (thanks), I've only had to replace the forestay and a few toggles that got bent. To get the whole thing replaced, I'd think this is the place where folks have the experience (both good and bad)...

At the lake where I used to sail, everyone bought their replacement mast stays from this long time Catalina dealer, rather than CD. I don't know how they would price a complete kit, but it wouldn't hurt to ask for a quote. https://www.strictlysailinc.com/

If you have a local rigger, think about these questions before you take the existing rigging to him/her for exact replacements. Did you label each one's position? Were any of the turnbuckles fully extended or turned in? Those might be too short or too long. CD should have the precise dimensions for each shroud/stay. Make sure you know if you have a std or tall rig.

When you re-rig, remember that the upper shrouds of a tall rig attach to the outer holes in the deck chainplates. The upper shrouds of a std rig attach to the inner holes of the chainplates. That's why the chainplates have two attachment points.

I remember this being discussed before and if I remember it right Dave/Stinkpotter had a rigger tell him that CD's price was excellent and to go with them. I got all my standing rigging from CD and it fit like a glove and they are very flexible if you need something different like I did. My RF uses a fixed length headstay. I asked CD if I could get a headstay from a tall rig without any terminals on the deck side. Just bare wire so I could cut the wire my self to the right length and install the terminal that I needed. They said no problem and deducted the cost of the swage, T Bolt and turnbuckle. I think I had the full set in 4-5 days. They know our boats.
