The bimini on Passage doesn't slide fore and aft as the brackets are fixed, however the whole thing will pivot about 20° fore and aft. This way I can pivot it forward to cover the companionway or swing it back for more late afternoon sun cover in the rear. Because of its curvature it doesn't interfere with the boom when the mainsail is fully hoisted up and the boom is riding high. Because the bimini does not extend all the way aft it never interferes with the mainsheet.
