I was looking for ideas on how to store my poles on the lifelines. Searching through google images and found one that looked promising ( was not an ad for $60 each stanchion clips). Wouldn't you know it, it was this site. In fact I remember that many times google would direct me back here even without "catalina 25" in the search terms. Usually this site is the best resource. I wonder how many non catalina owners use it?
BTW I am never directed to the macgregor owners association by google ! :) (a little jab at my macgregor sailing friends)
When you see that they are a "Guest" with one post I believe that they have stumbled across this site through searches. I did when I was looking for a sailboat and didn't know what was good or bad. This site made me target a Cat 25 from all of the info it gave me and I was impressed with the active following that these boats have.
There is even LESS resources available over the web regarding the Capri 25. The strength of the association, through the large following for the Cat 25, has made it possible to gather the much smaller following of the Capri 25... That works for me!
I only wish we could tap the brainshare of the folks at WYC that race these boats regularly.
PS: Nothing like searching sailing topics on Google and finding your OWN responses to people, can't tell you how many times that's happened ;)
