Do any sailing today?

Drove out to the marina after leaving my mom's house for Christmas stuff.

35-40 mph winds, blowing snow bands, 28 and falling.

My boat is on the right, Howard's is on the left.

You can see bands of snow blowing over the lake. Too cold for me, BTW. And all you Yanks quit laughin at us.....that $*!%'s cold......

Scott

When we left, we had just enough fuel to make it to San Juan. And now... we are out of fuel!

Thanks for the photo.

That looks like a lot more snow than we got at the house. The snow did not cover the ground-still a lot of grass showing. I did not venture out yesterday. Santa left a Magma Grill for the boat but it has to get a lot warmer before it will get used.

Wow, a white Christmas in Texas...how cool is that. No snow on FL's east coast, so a buddy and I escaped the wives's chores and went out for a three hour sail. Decent winds, flat water, and we were the only ones out on our part of the river.

Envious Tom, I was stuck at home sick while the Admiral went to the Family Christmas Dinner. But being able to sneak out and take a 3 hour sail... that really is priceless!

Tom, the DFW metroplex had not had a white Christmas since 1926. There have been winter precip events around Christmas, but little to no remained on Christmas Day. In 2009 we had out first "official" white Christmas since 1926....and again now in 2012.

Howard, we'll break in that Magma once it warms up!

A Magma grill was a Father's Day gift about seven years ago. I was fairly new to sailing and the wife and I went out for our first overnighter with the sail fleet. At that time I had a Capri 22, no galley or headroom. I had a single burner propane stove, an expresso pot for coffee, and cold breakfast bars for breakfast. The guy anchored next to me, just upwind had a Magma grill and was cooking bacon. With the smell from the bacon drifting over our boat, the slightly hung-over wife looked at her cold breakfast bar and said, "never again". The next day I had an early Father's Day present to install.

Hope you enjoy your grill, we use ours all the time.

Was at the marina yesterday to work on the boat and finally noticed another Catalina 25 on our dock. Have you met the owner of that one?
Looks like a nice boat. He apparently changed out the original windows with frames to frameless windows. I think by first glance that may be why I missed it being a Catalina.

Store is now open seven days a week and Linda has moved to Harbor One.

No, I didn't notice when I was out there last week. There's a new guy next to me and Lowell is still there. Where is this C25? Down by the Cat boat?

Yes, I think it is the second one from the main pier.
