A little crazy that he is converting the boat. Is this common? Seems a shame to me.

At 28 feet in length, looks like a standard rig mast. (It does seem to be a waste of a good sailboat.)

He's converting it to a river boat? Does this mean he's turning it into a steam powered paddle wheeler?

I guess the Cape Fear River in Wilmington, NC is deep enough to drive a powerboat with a 4 foot keel wherever he wants!

Maybe if they had q big enough hacksaw, they could trim a few feet off the keel.
Don't laugh, we have a couple of guys around here who bought a beatup Cat 22, removed the mast, added 3 ft to the cabin top, added a windshield and a 25 HP outboard. It's a floating fishing and beer party boat with a boom bass sound system. And the guys love it.

I bought his standing rigging and I am just waiting for it to get here between wednesday and friday. I´ll let you know if everything went well.
So far it was an easy transaction, seems to be worth contacting for any parts you may be needing.
Cheers
