Excellent condition dual axle trailer for Catalina 25 for sale in Oklahoma City. Tires in great condition, four years old. Still have nipples on them. These are the heavy duty high load tires.
Trailer is not equipped with brakes. Boat was pulled with an F250 and it worked great.
It has an adjustable (forwards or backwards, slides on the tongue) bow support, so you can trailer up to a 28' boat with this.
Black paint. Good wiring. Plastic cover is cracked on one brake lens.
This was custom built new five years ago to transport my '82 Catalina 25 fixed keel (4' draft) from Texas to Oklahoma City.
The bunk boards need to be recarpeted, but the wood is in great condition. If full asking price is paid, I'll recarpet the bunks and replace the trailer lights and wiring with new ones. It looks like the bunk pad support posts are adjustable as well, so you can put a deeper keeled boat on it if you wanted.
Comes with the manufacturer's certificate of origin (like a title). In Oklahoma, boat trailers aren't titled, but if your state requires it, this will make it easy. Manufacturer is Norshel trailers in Okc, which is still in business if you want more info.
This is a really nice, heavy duty, solid, great trailer. I can send pics tomorrow.
We have worked out a deal and I will be hauling this trailer to Canada in the next couple of weeks.
I've already talked to Border Services and Transport Canada and i know that I will need to pay GST at the border and Federal Inspection for RIV (Registrar of Imported Vehicles).
I know i need to check the VIN with Transport Canada and they will be looking for safety compliance confirmation for the year it was built. We're looking into that now...
Am I missing anything else?
My one concern is: What do I do about plates for the trailer? I tried getting temporary plates in Ontario, but they won't issue it until it passes federal inspection in Canada. So I'm confused and not sure what to do in terms of temporary plates.
Any advice?
(on a side note: this is bit crazy as it's a long haul - but this trailer looks like it's in awesome condition and will pay for itself after two seasons - I have free winter storage at family farm)
