Defender's big annual warehouse sale begins Thursday 3/29--Wed. afternoon on-line and by phone, and runs through Sunday. No codes, no nuttin--just 10% (or more) off their prices for everything. I'll be there, battling the other thousand shopping carts... It's a <i>scene!</i>

Just got an email from Wholesale Marine.

<b>Free Shipping</b> on all paints and supplies.

<b>VC-17m</b> is on sale, and also free shipping!

They also have a "low price gaurantee".

I bought my paint from them and they shipped quickly with the lowest prices I could find.

While the Defender sale may be "worth the trip" I just order online . . . .

But the savings are significant. And the savings on engines and Anderson winches, etc, etc are far greater than 10 percent

I've seen several threads about people getting new outboards, gas tanks, etc. Defender has a fuel line on sale right now for $7.00, including the fittings. It's on close-out: http://www.defender.com/product.jsp?path=-1|311|302335|314209&id=1558846

Academy has their Exide Stowaway Marine batteries on sale for $54 this week http://academy.shoplocal.com/academy/Default.aspx?action=entryflash&icid=shoplocal1 (be sure and put your zip code in to check your local store) and then Exide has a $10 rebate through 7/31. Here is the link for Exide, http://exide.com/us/en/product-solutions/transportation/promotions-and-rebates/start-positive-rewards.

You have an 89, which should have the same compartment as mine. I managed to fit two Interstate group 29's in there, but it was tight, and I verified the measurments before purchase. They were 13" long each, but may have been more like 12.875". The battery box could fit slightly more than 26" of length.

Harbor Freight has a 22' long string of solar-powered LED lights on sale. Not quite big enough to light the mast, but string two or three together and you could have some interesting decorations for parties and parades.

Sale alert: WM has Nicro solar vents on sale for a C-note (minus a penny)--3" or 4", plastic or stainless, thru 7/4. I'd say that's a good buy.
