We are clearing out the basement in preparation for selling our house, and a number of things are set to go. Photos to follow.
List is below, prices are plus shipping from postcode <b>L0E 1R0</b>. I prefer to ship Canada Post/US Mail which is slower, but less costly. You can get quotes from their website - http://tinyurl.com/postal-estimates. Our postmistress is pretty good about finding ways to beat the shipping calculator, so don't be surprised if actual shipping different from what the calculator says.
I refuse to ship UPS (because they've dinked me around too many times) all other carriers are welcome. All customs tags will be marked "gift" to reduce import duties for my American friends.
Whatever I get out of this goes toward my charity drive to Ulaanbataar Mongolia (www.mongolrally.com)
Parts are from our 1984 Catalina 25 std rig traditional interior, not that that matters.
1. <s><b>Poptop cover</b> - original white plastic-canvas cover. You've seen one, you've seen 'em all. $50</s>
2. <b>Original Alcohol Stove </b> - AKA the curtain burner. I have never tried to use it. I believe it is all there. Best used for parts or something. I thought about mounting a butane stove in the gimbal. As Is $25
3. <b>Lifejacket kit </b> - USCG approved set of lifejackets in one of those big square canvas bags. Good for stuffing in teh quarter-berth for when youare inspected. Since they aren't stamped by CCG, I can't use them (they only float in US waters I guess). - Contains at least 6 keyhole lifejackets - $50
4. <s><b>Stearns lifejackets </b> that are really uncomfortable to wear. $5 each - name your size and I'll see if I have it.</s>
<s>5. <b>Hammock chair</b>. clip it to a halyard, and pull it up the forestay. You'll be asleep in 5 minutes or less. Same as this one: http://tinyurl.com/8yxct4c $10</s>
Not sure on windows in teh poptop cover. I'll have to check on that, but yeah - thats the one I'm talking about. I don't think I have ever had it on teh boat.
Fire me an email and I'll look into shipping for you. <b>cpotvin 73 at gmail dot com</b>
I am not going to sell the swing chair - because of the length of the X-bar in it, it would be an oversize package and shipping would be stupid expensive.
Joe - did you get my email? I wasn't sure whether it went through or not. I think I need to resize the pic. I'll try to get you a shiping quote tomorrow.
ETA... It looks like this (Don't mind the mess, we're packing.) Dog not included.
That is what I get for not checking the swap meet instead of working on the boat! Next time-glass of red wine-check the page-then go to work on the boat!
Joe I got the new email. I'll stop by the PO tomorrow to get you a price, but its gonna be a busy day - no saying how things will go.
Sam - Wine sounds good. Bring a bottle up and you can rifle through my basement all night. Who knows what we'll find.
Buxtahude - Offer Joe $100 for it and see what he says.
David Crosby - I missed your earlier message - we are entering the 2013 rally so we don't have a site yet. Both teammates and I are working on our Russian, and trying to figger out visas, buying a car etc. If anyone has a 10 yr old, sub 1200cc car sitting in the UK, I'll trade you a pop-top cover for it. I'll even throw in a hammock-chair.
Joe - shipping to california is in the $35 - $40 range for regular (4 day) service. I wanted to post this publicly so others could judge total costs if it was too high for you. Now back to email.
LOL no - I got it to texas - I'm sending a cruising guide to cali. Better make sure the right quote is for the right package, hold off on that cheque for a day...
You've obviously never shipped Canada Post. I can send you the tracking number but it will say "shipped" until it arrives at teh border, then it will say "In USA"
Fun....so now I have in the great shipping cloud: Pop Top Cover, Knife, TillerClutch, Outboard Motor....the joy of waiting.....but it's so wonderful when you hear that knock on the door!
