On the ceiling of my quarter berth, just below the cockpit floor are "tan deposits". These are a series of bumps, trails & web-like "growths". I've washed them off before only to see them reappear in a few weeks. They're not mud wasp like structures but are raised about 1/16 of an inch. When you clean them off it doesn't seem like they're staining the fiberglass. Anyway 1)animal 2)vegetable 3)mineral. My guess is they're some kind of fungal growth but...
Looks like mold. I once found something similar growing in a damp corner of my mom's basement floor. Felt like I was in the Twilight Zone. I think I used diluted bleach or vinegar water to kill it.
Pod critters, you remember the movie. while you sleep, they take over your body. Seriously, it looks like some kind of mold or fungus. Be sure that you have a fan on for good ventilation when you start cleaning it up, and a tarp over your cushions. Vinegar and water, soft scrub, TileX, etc., scrape the "blisters" and clean them, too. did a Prior owner paint that ceiling?
Thanks to all, it's been raining a lot lately and with the cover on fresh air might be in short supply. Washed it off yesterday, again, with no bad effects. I was curious if this was something others had seen. The boat has original finish in this area. Definitively not blisters, there was condensation in the pictures I posted. I was surprised the 2 aft vents don't do a better job of controlling this.
Looks like you need a Nicro solar vent to exhaust daytime damp air as the boat cools at night--very effective. The clamshell vents aft are intended to prevent buildup of gasoline fumes in the sail locker--not much else, especially on a still night. A single solar vent keeps most boats bone dry at night. You can "Search" out several threads on the topic.
