Waiting over a week for Semco Teak Sealer, Starbrite deck cleaner and Pettit Rust-lok to arrive at WM. Had to have the holes enlarged in the mast plate from CD. Had to send the new forestay back to the rigger to install a correct size toggle. Waiting for 2 replacement extrusions from Harken. I don't mind the work - it's the waiting that is driving me crazy . . .

Try to find the local chemistry shop and get the oxalic acid crystals. 1 spoon per 1 liter of water. <hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></font id="quote"></blockquote id="quote">Interesting oberservaton Tomas. I am under the impression that Starbrite also leaves a thin coating that helps protect the gel coat from attracting dirt - at least not as quickly as bare gel coat.
It claims to have "PTEF" (Starbrite's name for PTFE, or Teflon), to protect gelcoat. I see no indication of what the cleaning agent is, but I like the stuff.
