All of my stays (with the exception of the forestay - roller furling) are "short". Namely,most of the turnbuckles have very few to none threads showing inside the turnbuckle. Is there a way to "extend" them?

In a word, toggles. I prefer cast bronze but SS are fine. Standing rigging stretches so what you are dealing with makes little sense. Is your mast all the way down at the tabernacle? Is there something strange at your mast base that is raising the mast.

I think the PO changed the rigging. There are several pieces of rigging I found in the
V-berth storage.
