I saw an ad tonight for a shop that's cleaning out it's rigging section. They've got booms, spars & spinnaker poles, all used. If I were to pick one up (spinnaker), what's the right size for our boats (diameter & length), or is it dependent on the spinnaker?

Got a nice email back from the shop, the "J" dimension for our boats is 9' according to him.

my poles 9`4" , 2 1/2 diameter and i can store it on the mast ...9` pretty long it does fit everywhere on our boats :)

25 to maybe 28` luff length i think . on a sail ..for my rig but you have a tall ?

Yeah, we're a tall rig, but I don't think that makes any difference, does it?

if its a little taller you can use a bigger sail if you wanted ..how much taller is it 3`
