On the recent trip to Corpus Christi, we had occasion to exercise the surge brakes. Fortunately, they were extremely effective.
It is a calculated risk. If our plans hold up, we only keep the C25 for a couple of years and then move up to a 30-35 ft live-aboard.
It is surprising but the central gulf coast of Texas has had a statistically significant lower rate of hurricanes over the last 50 years than the north (Houston) or south (Browsville).
