Hello. I have a 1997 250 Catalina that is docked in Alameda, CA (Ballena Marina) that is for sale. The boat was willed to my family. The previous owner (only owner) was a retired Navy Captain, he passed away this summer. The boat is in great condition.
The boat is a 250 Wing Keel Model, and was originally ordered with the following options: two-tone deck - white & grey, in lieu of standard Carpeting Cockpit cushions, vinyl, white with grey piping Trailer bow eye Canvas pkg, with (1) mainsail cover, (1) tiller cover, () winch covers- Pkg. "c" blue Headsail furling gear Interior cushions pkg. "c" - whitmarcsh denim throughout the entire boat.
The boat was sold to Eastern Yacht Sales out of Miami, ID # CTYA0276L697 I can email pictures of the boat (I am having problems posting them on this forum)
Hi Ethan... Sorry about your loss. Sounds like he left you a very nice boat that somebody will enjoy greatly.
This forum doesn't take pictures directly--if you have them anywhere else on the web, to have them appear in your post here, you can click the button on the message editing window and insert the picture's URL between the two "tags" it generates. More detailed instructions are in the Testing Forum. Many of us use Shutterfly.com to hold the pictures.
Okay, I'm curious. In the outboard photo on the Ebay listing, what is the handle like gizmo on the motor shaft? Is it actually a carry handle? Does that help getting it on/off the boat?

It probably has to be disconnected to tip the engine up.
The description on e-bay is incorrect. It lists this boat as a "swing keel" which would mean water ballast. From the interior photos it is clear that this is a wing keel. There is no keel lifting gear and the cabin steps are the wing keel version.
You should update the e-bay posting. The swing and wing keels are both nice boats but serve different purposes. The bidders should know what they are bidding on.
According to the ebay listing, it has sold. Glad you found a buyer, Ethan. Please make sure he/she knows about the forum so we can give a proper welcome.
