I have a 1993 Capri 26 I'm looking to trade for a Catalina 25 wing keel. The Capri will not fit in my storage building, but the Cat 25 will. I'm located in Michigan. I have a trailer and outboard, but the Capri will fit on your trailer or your on mine, etc. Prefer to keep my outboard.
I sometimes race here with a fellow who has a Capri 26, fin keel, that he found in Calif. and had shipped here. We have one other Capri 26 here that I know of but it is tied up in a legal squabble right now. They are a nice roomy boat. good layout inside, similar to the C-250. About 1,000 lbs heavier than a C-25, also beamier, at 9.8 ft.
Your out of your mind, the Capri 26 is a substantially nicer boat, change storage buildings, fix the storage building, store it outside. Really, you will regret this. This is a bad idea. And if I still had my wing keel I would do it in a second, no questions asked. A Capri 26 is worth about ten grand more than the average C25 and at least 5 grand more than the average 89 wing keel.
I'm curious, what do you pull the Capri 26 with? Also, the fin keel version has a foot more draft than the C-25. Are you sure that the Capri 26 and the C-25 will fit on the same trailer. If that's so, we may have another candidate for our trailer syndicate.

I'd say "Deal!", but I don't have the vehicle to pull the Capri 26 with if it does indeed require something so beefy. Being in Ohio actually it wouldn't be too far of a drive. I bought my boat in Muskegon, Michigan in fact.
