I'm guessing you are asking about the possible chaffing of the halyards where they exit the mast.
On our 2005 model, the exit hole is simply a cut out in the mast, not a snazzy softsided plate assembly. However the exit hole is very well deburred and the lines exit and then head down to either a block on the mast base or to a cleat on the mast. So there's virtually no rubbing on the sides of the exit hole
If your lines are showing chaffing in that area, it might be time to replace them. What year and model is your boat?
