Frank, I remember when you got that idea from Simon. Sounds like you have carried it forward. Are you still using both sets of sheets (regular and self-tacking)? How is your experience with the self-tackers?
Works like a charm, Randy, but it has one limitation: the foot of the jib can't be sheeted tight; it has a light air bellow which tends to luff close hauled, so it works best off the wind. Still, it's ideal for single handing or with a landlubber crew Yes, I keep both sheet arrangements installed. I added the shackle to remove self-tacking when not needed.
