I have a 1982 swing keel. I purchased the new keel hanger and pin from catalina direct.
I just can't figure out how to lower it and remove the existing hangers.

If i use the thread method they are still held up on the threads even though the keel is lowered?

any suggestions.

Also what would you use to bore the hole into the keel (if needed to install bushing)

thanks again

Hi Jason... Regarding Deric's suggestion, have you used the Search function (upper right)? You can specify the C-25 forum, and use words like "swing" and "lower". Check the Archives box--there have been many discussions.
