Hello all,

I am heading to San Diego on June 12th to the 14th and I am looking to try and meet some fellow sailors in the area. I have to come down to get some work done on my Hobie Kayak and pick up a trailer I bought for my Cat 250. Would like to have some one look at the trailer and make sure I have everything I need, exchange ideas and ask questions. Thanks and looking forward to meeting you.

Im am not in san diego , but I have a trail rite trailer for a wk.
is yours a float on ?

I read on another post it doesnt have a mast raising system ?
that shouldnt be to tough to have one made if you want ,
but probably costly $500 ? , its thick metal .

or raise the mast on the boat .

you would need to make something to hold the mast at the bow over the winter .
Hey your in Las Vegas isnt that year round sailing ?

its nice-not to be under a boat yards thumb !

The trailer has a mast raising system but does not have the extension for the tongue. It is a float on but not sure if it has pads or the lonr rails. I saw the trailer last in November when there was a cat 250 sitting on it. The guy sold the boat and the new owner does not need the trailer. Yes Lake Mead is year round sailing. My Boat is in a slip and I will keep her there. I want the trailer to pull the boat out to do a new bottom job and to be able to take her to San Diego and Catalina for a few weeks. Fresh water lake sailing is fun but not the same.

thats good a extension is easier to make .

thats the only lose piece , except the mast raising thing witch slides up 6' or so ,
for better leverage .

the pads are bolted down .

I ll be by my trailer next week ill take a photo .

there were photos of other trailers awhile back try a search too .
