After about a year of planning and looking, I've made the move to a larger boat and closed yesterday on a 1983 Passport 40. I am putting my 2002 250 WB, 'Ruah,' up for sale and she's listed in the Swap Meet if anyone is in the market.
As I've been looking at various boats and their respective owner's associations, I can say that this is HANDS DOWN the BEST association and forum out there! Even some of our other Catalina brethren have pitiful association web sites. It's the people of the forum that make all the difference and I thank all of you for putting forth the effort to make it happen!
I'll still lurk about here when I get a chance. Thanks for an informative and enjoyable five years!
And I know you're talking about Derek in reference to the Lake's best sailors! I agree!
The Passport will be kept in Houston for now and I hope to take it to the northern Bahamas in about a year or so to keep it there primarily. Yeah, 40 ft on Canyon would be a bit of a waste!
