I need t service my outboard (EVINRUDE Sail Master 7.5hp), does any one know a source for parts, service manual, and part diagram?
The boat have not been used for a long time, I change the parts, Change the gas, did not start. By pass the kill switch, than it started briefly, but was not able to keep it running. So, I assume at the minimum I need to re-build the Carburetor. I also, need to change the handle on the tiller.
I had a similar situation and had it serviced by a local Johnson/Evinrude dealer. For under $200.00 it was serviced and I gott he low down on what was in good vs. fair condition. I then replaced the tank and fuel line.

When we had the same problems with our 1990 Evinrude, when we brought it in they did the usual carb job, but also installed a new kill switch including the inside parts. Learned the kill switch innards go rapidly, thus keeping the engine from working. Those save-us-from-ourselves gizmos continue to amaze me in their impact on simple engine operation, and cost to repair.

The tiller handle is bad, this effect the kill switch and the speed control. So far, I was not able t find source for the parts.

Contact Jack Stone at 3410 Oak Forest Dr. Houston Texas 77018. Parts 713-686-9997,Service 713-686- 3011, FAx 713-686-9996 oor web http://outboard-parts.com. Check your fuel lines for blockage, make sure the bottom of the tank is not all gooped up. If it has been sitting for a long time I suspect if you have a fuel pump on it the diaphram has dried out and cracked. Jack Stone can e-mail you a parts manual in adobe format Take the carbuerator apart as a last resort only. I would go with a 50/1 oil mix
