Does anyone have information on the Datamarine Depthfinder, Corinthian Series Model S200 DL. This is the unit that came with my 1989 C25 Wing Keel. I bought the boat last year. When I painted the bottom this spring I did clean the transducer and used transducer paint. It worked fine up to about a week ago. Now when I turn it on I get crazy readings like 167 ft when I am in 5 ft of water! Then the numbers go off and the display reads MSD. I have E-Mailed Datamarine but have not gotten a response yet. Any Information would be appreciated.

Sounds like the signal from the transducer is not being interpreted correctly. Not sure if Datamarine uses a digital to analog scheme or not. You may have to send the head and the transducer in for service as they are tuned as a matched set.
Many companies have defeated the convenience of e-mail by not responding in a timely fashion - if ever. I'd use the old fashion method . . .

I hate it when it does that…. I’ll assume that you have checked to make sure the transducer is not fouled in some way. But what it sounds like it needs is an adjustment. If you’re getting deeper than actual readings you may need to increase the sensitivity. Does the unit have a sensitivity adjustment? If so you may need to recalibrate. Are you sailing in the same area because if not you may have to adjust the sensitivity to the type of bottom you're over now. Hope you find the problem.
