For those of you who missed this cruise that is to bad, for the five boats that showed, I can safely say we saw it, sailed it, and survived it all. We had hot calm days, and 40 knot days with 4-8ft seas. But most of all we had one fun filled week of port to port hopping, great meals, and we all learned something new from each other. Thanks to Dave, Doug, Randy, and Lewie and their families for a great time. This has turned out to be the "First Annual Traverse Bay Cruise" Next years (2nd Annual Travers/Lake Michigan Cruise) is already in the planning stages. Dave, Doug, and I have all agreed that starting on 26 July 2008 we will continue the experience of Northern Lake Michigan by cruising for another week maybe 10 days starting at Charlevoix and continuing NE to Bay Harbor, Petoskey, and then on to Mackinaw. For those of you who missed the opportunity this season, please make plans for next year. I have volunteered to be the front man again for this cruise and will serve as the point of contact. I look forward to the planning and organizational opportunity and I am soliciting input from anyone who has ideas of places to go, food, ports, anchoring opportunities and so on. I am also planning on Cruise T-shirts for everyone for next years group. If you were in this years group I will have T-shirts from this years event if you show up at next years as a bonus. So mark your calendars and there is only 11 months and 26 days before the next trip.
As the digital pictures become available we will try and post them from this years event.
