It's that global warming nonsense again - not enough snow = not enough run off = not enough lake....Though on the flip side - a lot of warming = a lot of melting ice = drowning polar bears = more runoff = more lake...HMMMM okay maybe its something else like some sinister plot by the Canadians....If we damn up the falls over in Buffalo it should all fill back up in a year or two right
Currently I'm 3 inches above average - I'm actually seeing more than that at the dock.
Yes, its a sinister plot by us Canadians. I have a basement with three feet of water. Let me know when you can stop by to pick it up and take it home with you.
What are those "average feet" numbers? They aren't depths... (If you can find me a single hole in Lake St. Clair with 574.5' depth, I'll eat my......) Michigan is around 90' for most of the lake I know of. Erie is less than that.
It's affecting us up on Lake Superior, too. My boat's almost 2 feet below the level of the permanent dock we're tied to. I step down onto the cabin top of my C250.
OTOH, our 3.5 foot draft lets us use docks in the Apostle Islands that the big guys can't get into. Thanks, Catalina!
