I have a 1998 Yamaha 4 stroke on my C25 with remote controls. My problem is if I lift the motor out of the water with my CD Garelick mount the throttle and gear shift linkage go out of adjustment due to the strain put on the cables by the angle of the lifted motor. Has this happened to anyone else and are there any suggestions to fix this problem?
Don't know the answer for sure - but in the "old days" we used to put about a 1-foot diameter loop in the control lines for outboard engines so that the cables wouldn't bind when the engine was tipped up or turned.
