I'm replacing my sails and am considering DOYLE or NORTH. Seeing as there are many more Capri 25s in Minnisotta than here on the West Coast of FLA., I thought that maybe a sail maker up there would have a better understanding of our sails. Any thoughts?

You want to talk with Harry at EP Sails, by far, they have done more to perfect the Capri sails than anyone else.

Another vote for Harry at EP. The majority of the WYC Capris are running EP sails.

NORTH makes excellent sails, but hasnt done anything to support the growth/development of the CP25 fleet. They'll make you a great CP25 sail (all of my mains/jibs are currently NS), but their tuning info is outdated and thin.

I plan on converting to EP during the fleet discounts this fall. Unfortunately for me (but good for EP!), it will mean replacing several sails at once as well as a semi-dramatic rig change (EP calls for significantly more rake than NS).

Haarstick (sp?) also has supported the CP25 well in the past, not sure how current that is.

Can't say anything about Doyle, no experience either way.

I have a North 140% a off brand 155% a quantum 130 and a Us sail 100% the main is an ep and I love them all, but the workmanship of the ep stands up over all of them.

I have bought all my sails from Doyle Detroit formerly UK sailmakers. Al Declerq has made excellent tape drive sails for me that are very reasonably priced and have held up well. I would recommend this loft to anyone needing Capri sails.

Bill Meinert can also give you information regarding Doyle sails. He recommended them to me earlier this year. I am looking for a new 110% and will also be looking into Doyle.
