I have noticeable buckling of the transom probably as a result of the Outboard motor and mount. Has anyone beefed up this area and if so how??

Yes, I put starboard on the outside and took a piece of marine plywood 6mm thick, kerfed it so it would conform to the shape, epoxy coated it to prevent rot and put it inside the transom. Not the easiest job alone, get a hand. Or you can buy the motor mount backing plates I have for sale in the swap meet.

One other thing, this flexing probably has caused your scuppers to leak. Might want to reseal those while you're in there. I like 3M 4000UV because it remains pliable and isn't as permanent as 5200.
