Let me be the first to welcome you to your new home. I have a C25 Standard Rig, but am new to this hobby/sport/obsession. I have had personal dealings with Chris (Capri25) and he's one of the good guys. Welcome aboard.

You should know that you aren't limited to just participating in the Capri forum. If there's an interesting discussion on any of the other forums, feel free to join in. You'll find the forum a good source for maintenance and repair issues. We have a lot of members who have been sailing for a long time, and, if something breaks on your boat, the likelihood is that someone on one of our forums can give you good suggestions about how to fix it. Also, at the top, right-hand corner of this page, you'll see the "search" button. If you click on it, you can search all or any one of our forums for past discussions of many common subjects, such as "blisters" or "keel repair" or "radios" or "mast raising," etc. Along the left hand column, you'll find buttons that will take you to our ship's store, tech tips, racing tips, and provide other useful information.
John, I am delighted to see you here, your reputation precedes you. There is a couple at my dock who bought a Capri 30 late last fall. I will direct them here. It is going to be very cool watching that boat on our lake.
I have now registered here too. Will the tuning guide files be on this site as well? thanks, Mike<blockquote id="quote"><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id="quote">quote:<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"><i>Originally posted by saribella</i> <br />Please leave a note to let us know you have found this forum ok. <hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></font id="quote"></blockquote id="quote">
Very soon Mike. I should say they will be ready by tomorrow afternoon. I am compiling all files into a better arrangement so they will be easier to read.

I could have sworn the Tuning guide was already up from long ago but I've scoured the site and haven't been able to find it. Now I am miffed....
We will work as fast as possible to get all of those items into the tech tips, manuals etc sections.
tuning guide is now on the manuals and brochures page
Additional stuff will be posted soon. I just expedited this because it was there before and It was merely an old file that didn't make it back into production.
OK all of the photos and links have been submitted for posting. I am sorry all of the files have been taking a long time to submit, but it is taking time to print them all and scan them into a coherant PDF package.
Thanks Matt, Duane, and mr. Admin :) I am working on the 1570 post into this site, that were from the Yahoo group. I will pick a day next week and just start uploading them from #1 to the end. You all will see allot of activity, and I would like to get all of the files in the correct order.
Anything that may be important (like the 1st page of this forum) I think the best way of not sending these files to the last part of the threads is to "sticky" them, then after I am done uploading we can remove the "Sticky's"
I will remind again in a few days when I am ready to proceed. I will like to do this at 12am, so traphic is at a low.
Ahoy all newcomers and welcome. I want everyone to know I am very happy to see the forum and The Association growing. I'm not familiar with the Capri-25 at all. But I'm not prejudice to anything with canvas. Heck, I was so hard up to sail in the past I made a rig on a canoe out of plastic sheeting, duct tape and electrical conduit. We had a Capri-26 at my marina in the past and I wanted to have a peek below but never got the chance. I mostly like cruising and camping on Chick-a-pea but still whenever there is another sail on the water I'm tweaking her as much as I can. Hope you enjoy this place as much as I have the past few years. And if anyone is in the N.E. Fla. area be sure to look up our local Fleet 25.
To everyone, I am done with arranging and formatting the files, and they will be submitted today. If anyone has any questions or input regarding how I arranged them, let me know. I have also added a few drawings that I had that were not posted on the Yahoo site.
Have made it here too............ Looks like I will be a two Capri owner very soon....294 and now 230. This latter will be subject of major interior work over next few months ...Will keep group posted!! Simon Whitehead

We love pictures, I have lots at the site in my sig. They are of my two Catalina 25s but there is so much that catches the sailors eye, from the turnbuckles to the lines, the glasswork projects to bottom paint; we have a lot to share between the Capri and Catalinas. Welcome aboard.
Glad things have worked out for a uor Capri brethren. I race my C25TR much of the time and always learn something from the Capri forum.
We have gotten bigger....and better in the process. Here's hoping we can crown a Capri 25 National Champion soon. Can't wait to see the write-up on US Sailing's web site.
