Alright guys, I think this Amazon ad thing needs to go! I just saw and ad for "O", Opra's magazine. That means someone searched from our site for how to subscribe to it; that's just not right; say it ain't so.
Frank - If you only knew everything people bought. ...I don't get their names, but we do get a list of what sold.
Leon - you are looking at the google ads - they are customized to the page. as our posts change the ads will change.
My wife just bought a ton of Ipod accessories, now I get to see a pink IPOD case.
Amazon is all bout what is on the page and when it can't figure it out it it i.e. it doesn't have any matching products it will put the most recent purchase or the number one seller on the page or items that sell with whatever you already bought.
Keep in mind if you share a computer with your wife and she buys something after you click a link and create the cookie, her Oprah books.

I'm surprised at what an unsophisticated ad pushing algorithm Yahoo is using. If you do two searches for the same thing on Amazon, up pops the ads on our website. Google is not as easily tricked. Maybe that's because my son works at Google

Duane, maybe you should counter that by searching for balancing items like the guns, tools, big trucks, football and beer. Just be careful with Godaddy.com or the like, I can imagine the ads you would get.
I like most of the ads that do come up. Virtual Skipper 3 is there now for me.
