I happened to be online looking at the web pages for: Good Old Boat, the magazine. It mentioned an interview of them by The Sailing Channel at a recent boat show. Since we are moving to either DISH or Direct TV in a few months, I thought I would check and see which one, or if either of them carried this channel. I didn't find it on either of them even if you subscribe to the entire list of options.

Do any of you know anything about the sailing channel?...and do any of you have it?

In my opinion 75% of the earth is water for a reason. That's why I sail.

We have Dish Network and I have never seen The Sailing Channel. They do have the Water Channel. That has Lattitudes and Attitudes, Extreme Sailing Hawaii and some other sailing shows. Lots of motor boat shows and the schedule appears to be subject to change. I set some things up to record weekly and before I know it I have 30 minutes of the guy selling knives and swords. The Sailing Center was a show that aired last year that was pretty good but I think they only produced about 13 episodes.

Thanks guys, I find Sail.tv a pretty good sight, and if you visit it and join, you will find I have posted the 2007 Nationals on it. Who knows maybe this year we will get some true international freinds to join us.

They have some nice video podcasts. I was actually just watching some earlier today. Most are only a few minutes long, but the video quality is great. They have several in a row that are pretty much just promotions for Sun Sail. They are short information spots on different destinations in the BVI with some nice footage of sailing and the scenery. Really makes you want to go sailing down there!
