I bought one of those shore power adapters. rated for 15 amps regular plug on one side and shore power cord plugs into that. so it blew the fuse to the house . there was nothing pluged into the boat plugs , so I figure a short I guess or crossed wires . I didnt have a ac meter at the boat to check ,I took the fuse panel off and it looks wired right (compared to a houses pannel) I have a 30 amp fuse comeing in going to a split breaker (two 15s in one)for a plug each.
does anybody have any thoughts on a check list ? were to start
Hey Admin, when the the feed is disconnected from the pannel its fine (power) when I put the feed to the pannel it blows the house fuse .even with the circut breakers out does this pannel look wired right ?
(Pardon an effort at a little Association indemnification here.)
Please don't expect a definitive answer to your question, especially from a representative of our Association. Endorsing the wiring in your house seems outside the scope of this forum. I imagine one of our knowledgeable members will direct you to, or provide to you, a proper reference so you can make the final decision for your self.
