Another member sent me an email about the standing rigging spec in the owners manual. I'm hearing there are different specs posted in different versions.
I briefly took a look at this topic and I want to get other owners comments.
Website manual All wires are 1x19 Forestay: Diameter: 3/16, Length: 29’,7-3/4” Backstay: Diameter: 5/32, Length: 34’,1-1/2" Upper Shroud: Diameter: 5/32, Length: 27’,7-5/8” Lower Shroud: Diameter: 5/32, Length: 13’,5-3/4” Note: Single backstay, so the length is longer Note: This appears to be for the standard rig with chainplates on the cabin top (wing-keel and later water-ballast models)
Member email All wires are 1x19 Forestay: Diameter: 3/16, Length: 29’,7-3/4” Backstay: Diameter: 5/32, Length: 26’,1/4” Upper Shroud: Diameter: 5/32, Length: 29’,3/4" Lower Shroud: Diameter: 5/32, Length: 10’,1/2” Split backstay uses a bridle, so the length is shorter. Note: This appears to be for the original water-ballast model where the chainplates are on the deck/hull joint (rub rail)
Catalina Direct also lists the tall-rig shrouds, which was only offered in the wing-keel model. Those shrouds have 3/16” instead of 5/32”
