In 1964 when I, at the age of 21, immigrated to Canada from Holland I brought a little 49.9 CC moped motor along.
The thought was that I would mount it on a bike and voila... drive around the country.
It was not until our son was married and had his own workshop in the garage that we actually together mounted the motor on an old bicycle and to the surprise of the locals toured the town leaving a tiny trail of blue smoke behind.
The little engine came complete with a centrifugal clutch and a V belt driven wheel that was lowered on the back wheel tire.
Here are some photo's of the motor

A classic! Fun! I helped a friend do something similar with a little lawnmower engine and centrifugal clutch back around 8th grade or so--maybe 1958-9 (?) (Yes, there were motorized lawnmowers then!)
