Off and on, I have had my brother do projects on my C250WK. Along with working on my boat he recently did a major repair on a C250WB that was bought extremely cheap due to a very leaky water ballast tank. He has posted these modifications and repairs on his website. I thought I would share the link.

There are other projects he has done for me which have previously been posted on the Catalina forum. Here are some links below:

Rudder Repair - http://www.catalina-capri-25s.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=29591&SearchTerms=C250

Shelf and Electrical Panel Upgrade - http://www.catalina-capri-25s.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=29160

When spring arrives, I will have a few more projects for him as well. I am planning on a table modification that allows for hanging the table from the mast support post. This will be adjustable so that the table can be turned any direction I want as well set at any height desired (pushed up to the ceiling or dropped to the floor to get it out of the way). Also, planning on cup holders mounted in the cockpit coamings and a fixed mount VHF install.

Appreciate the links to projects.

All three work areas are inspiring - electrical, galley, and rudder...

Best,

Carl

Before doing any mods to the cabin table, it might be good to review this archived thread. I started with a plan to build a totally new table, but ultimately morphed into a simplified design for modifying my table with double drop-leaves and nice cherry veneer. It is the single most useful upgrade I ever did to my boat, because it completely eliminated the need to ever remove the table. And I was constantly lowering the leaves to facilitate access to storage and raising them again when I needed table space for eating, reading charts, using the computer, etc. It truly was the best of both worlds:

You'll see that many others also contributed their own designs to the thread. Ultimately, I liked my drop-leaf design best, so I want with that. But all the ideas presented could help you, and you can pick the one that you like best.
