Take a look at the photo... this the jacked up situation with my mainsheet block and cam cleat. Can anyone send photos of how this is best rigged? I've had a few smaller boats that had a large spring to keep this block vertical. Any photos on how the factory rigged this? Any user improvements?
This situation binds up on itself most of the time.
Hmmm, mine is rigged differently than yours. The block has a cleat attached to the "top" of it, such that when I let the main out I can cleat it by pulling toward me and down, and if I want to release it, I can just "pop" the line upwards and let it feed out from my hand.
I may have a picture, but I won't be able to look for a while.

Didn't work. If you're using Google Photos, I've had to add them to Google+, share them as Public, and then right click and choose "copy image address", and paste that in between two IMG tags (just like you did above).

Photos have to be posted first in a public site like photobucket or Flickr then posted here. They can't be posted from a computer or phone etc. It's how it is.

Or you can upload them to our own Photo Gallery and copy the URL from there. Here's a shot of Confetti (Hull #1) I just tried:

Thanks for the photo Russ. I am definitely set up differently than these photos show. But, that spring underneath a block could be perfect. I'll have to research that.
DavidP--a tip: When you have a huge URL like that, change the Format Mode to "Prompt", highlight some text that describes it in your post, click , and paste the URL into the pop-up box. Then your text will be a hot link to that URL and the thread won't extend off everybody's screens. You could edit your post above and do it to fix this thread. (Copy the URL, delete it from the post, and then follow the steps.)
